Very beautiful small vase particularly gold metal in built plaque with engraved singing bird sitting on a brunch of blooming tree. As I’ve found it was made in Japan in a very ancient technique Chokin. Engraving made on a copper plate by etching and then gilding it in silver and gold. This vase was edged with 24K gold. Lovely collectible item, gift for a woman of any age or collector. I have another bigger matching vase with images of flowers and butterfly and original labels describing it’s origin and technique.
